Advanced Placement World History
Exam Details
The AP World History exam has two sections. Section I is 50% of the total grade with 70 questions (55 minutes). Section II is 50% of the grade 3 mandatory questions: DBQ, a continuity/change-over-time essay, and a comparative essay (10 minute reading period, 120 minute writing period). Last year, 50.5% of students scored a 3 or better on the exam.
The College Board publishes sample exam questions and answers from previous years’ exams. It is highly recommended that students review released exams as part of their exam preparation. Most review materials below include content and model practice tests from released Advanced Placement exams.
Using the carefully selected preparation and review books, study guides and workbooks below should help you achieve your World History exam goals.
