Advanced Placement Macroeconomics

Exam Details

The AP Macroeconomics exam has two sections. Section I is 66.67% of the total grade with 60 questions (70 minutes), Section II is 33.33% of the exam grade and has 3 required free-response questions (10 minute reading period, 50 minute writing period).

Exam note: Calculators are not permitted.

Last year, 56.7% of students scored a 3 or better on the exam.

The College Board publishes sample exam questions and answers from previous years’ exams. It is highly recommended that students review released exams as part of their exam preparation. Most review materials below include content and model practice tests from released Advanced Placement exams.
