Exam Details
The AP Chemistry Exam has two sections. Section I is 50% of the total grade and has 75 questions (90minutes) NO CALCULATORS. Section II is 50% of the exam grade and has two parts as well: Part A has 3 required questions (55 minutes) calculators are allowed, Part B has 3 required questions (40 minutes)NO CALCULATORS. Last year, 56.1% of students scored a 3 or better on the exam.
The College Board publishes sample exam questions and answers from previous years’ exams. It is highly recommended that students review released exams as part of their exam preparation. Most review materials below include content and model practice tests from released Advanced Placement exams.
