Exam Details
The AP Comparative Government and Politics exam has two sections. Section I is 50% of the total grade with 55 questions (45 minutes), Section II is 50% of the grade with 8 mandatory free-response questions (100 minutes), 5 short-answer concept questions, 1 conceptual analysis question and 2 country context questions.
Last year, 62.0% of students scored a 3 or better on the exam.
The College Board publishes sample exam questions and answers from previous years’ exams. It is highly recommended that students review released exams as part of their exam preparation. Most review materials below include content and model practice tests from released Advanced Placement exams.
